{"id":534,"date":"2009-08-16T22:05:33","date_gmt":"2009-08-17T03:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bitpost.com\/blog\/?page_id=534"},"modified":"2020-06-27T14:46:43","modified_gmt":"2020-06-27T18:46:43","slug":"steamed-kale-with-lemon-miso-sauce","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/bitpost.com\/blog\/recipes\/steamed-kale-with-lemon-miso-sauce\/","title":{"rendered":"Steamed Kale with Lemon Miso Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I tend to go for classic flavors, but sometimes it&#8217;s good to offset the palate with something different.&nbsp; This one has some zing to it, with ginger and lemon and radish and kale all competing.&nbsp; Andrea loves kale, and ate this recipe up.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1-2 cups water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 whole lemon, washed and cut into three pieces<\/li>\n<li>1-2 tsp fresh peeled and finely-chopped ginger<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 white miso (yes that&#8217;s a lot!)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 to 1 cup diced daikon (now, I have no idea where to get that &#8211; I used 1\/4 cup radishes)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 to 1 cup diced carrots<\/li>\n<li>3-4 cups fresh chopped de-spined kale, torn into bite-size pieces<\/li>\n<li>corn starch dissolved in water, for thickening<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Prep!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thedigitalmachine.com\/images\/blog\/2009\/recipes\/steamed-kale-with-lemon-miso-sauce\/img_3913.jpg?w=656\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Simmer a cup of the water, lemon pieces, ginger and miso in a saucepan, making sure that the miso gets dissolved.
