The girls and I had fun driving up to Camp Kanata for the day on Sunday. We cooked on Tom’s propane stove, went for a hike, and generally goofed around and had a good time.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow is our family fall camping trip, the Gillespies are joining us – we can’t wait. We are cracking down on Wesley’s dominance personality. Soccer is wrapping up, tournaments in another week. The girls are staying up late to watch The Amazing Race with us. My friend Keith Lea is moved in behind us now but I haven’t found time to hang out much yet. We have big plans though… We went on a “walk for farm animals” that Terra organized – Carrboro is a great little place. Ruthie also had a fun birthday party that included pin-the-horn-on-the-unicorn and painting-with-gumballs. Halloween was fun – the girls were witches, mum was a Renaissance princess, and daddy went with his classic look: robe and slippers. Dan and Val and our folks survived another hurricane, Wilma, without too much trouble, although they lost power for a few days – we hoped to get a visit out of it but it didn’t work out. Touched base with Ken, it’s been too long. I’ve been missing a LOT of poker games lately, I need to hook back up – but I did make it to one of the tavern poker tournaments in Fuquay – and placed third, whoop! Christmas shopping has begun – Andrea sent a letter out asking for charitable donations instead of presents this year.
