I&#8217;ve taken vacation through the end of the year &#8211; there&#8217;s no better way to get in the mood!  I love having time to get everything done.  Including&#8230; baking!<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/table>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the Russian teacake recipe in detail&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>This is famously simple.  The only hard part &#8211; don&#8217;t think about the nutritional value!<\/p>\n<p>Step 1.  Mix&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup powdered sugar<\/li>\n<li>1 cup soft margarine<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp vanilla<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step 2.  Separately, mix&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 1\/4 cups sifted flour<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Step 3. Sift flour mixture into margarine mixture.<br \/>\nStep 4. Add 3\/4 cup chopped nuts (usually pecans or walnuts)<\/p>\n<p><center><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thedigitalmachine.com\/images\/blog\/2007\/russian_tea_cakes_1.jpg?w=656\" alt=\"Russian teacakes\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Step 5. Chill dough for 1\/2 hour or so.<br \/>\nStep 6. Roll into 1&#8243; schweaty balls and drop on greased cookie sheet.<\/p>\n<p><center><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/thedigitalmachine.com\/images\/blog\/2007\/russian_tea_cakes_2.jpg?w=656\" alt=\"Russian teacakes\" \/><\/center><\/p>\n<p>Step 7. Cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.<br \/>\nStep 8. Let cool slightly.  Roll in powdered sugar.
