So I thought I would prepare for the future and get all set up.  What a waste of time&#8230;<!--more--><br \/>\nWindows 7 required me to hit Shift-F10 during setup, run diskpart, and set up GPT.  Fine, whatever.  But then Ubuntu didn&#8217;t recognize it.  To fix it in Ubuntu, you have to be careful about which tool you use.  fdisk isn&#8217;t ready, gparted is, but most importantly to me, the Ubuntu installer didn&#8217;t recognize the Windows 7 GPT install at all.  It&#8217;s certainly possible to get GPT working, but after my 4th Windows reinstall, I bailed and fell back on using a standard MBR on my 2TB drives, and I was set up in mere moments.
