{"id":766,"date":"2009-03-05T13:58:12","date_gmt":"2009-03-05T18:58:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bitpost.com\/news\/?p=766"},"modified":"2009-03-05T15:58:54","modified_gmt":"2009-03-05T20:58:54","slug":"wordpress-bumped-to-271-fairly-smooth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bitpost.com\/news\/2009\/wordpress-bumped-to-271-fairly-smooth\/","title":{"rendered":"WordPress bumped to 2.7.1, fairly smooth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>downloaded<\/li>\n<li>backed up<\/li>\n<li>deactivated plugins<\/li>\n<li>dumped code base over my installation &#8211; crazy!\u00a0 it&#8217;s full of customizations&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>browsed to admin and pressed &#8220;upgrade&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>updated 5 plugins<\/li>\n<li>reactivated plugins<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I had to install the <a href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/extend\/plugins\/tinymce-advanced\/\" target=\"_blank\">advanced version of TinyMCE<\/a>, flush Firefox&#8217;s cache, and disable\/re-enable the visual editor (from the user&#8217;s settings) before the editor would give me the Visual\/HTML tabs.\u00a0 Other than that things are humming.<\/p>\n<p>WordPress is simply amazing software &#8211; did you know it only uses 11 tables to work its magic?
