Copy them to your new machine settings and tweak.
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-mtrack # use synclient to determine what works best su - synclient -l # lists all params synclient PalmDetect=1 # temporarily change settings # save what you like, here: root@wallee:~# emacs /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-synaptics.conf
Ubuntu 18.04
Try this:
- Install the package xserver-xorg-input-libinput
- Uninstall xserver-xorg-input-evdev
- Uninstall xserver-xorg-input-synaptics
- Reboot and see if things work better.
