It's the worst pile of randomness. Tips:

• use i3 config to set font to a normal 11pt
• use lxappearance to set gnome font to a readable 22pt
• i set gnome-tweaks to use scale factor 1.0 or 1.5 but didn't do anything
• brave needs this to make the url bar readable (but the tabs HUGE, sigh...)

brave-browser --force-device-scale-factor=2
