Shotwell is Ubuntu's app to manage phone media. It's pretty awesome, start it up and it will find your phone and start syncing photos and videos.

I set up a symlink on viper so that they would go to softraid:

# Shotwell syncs pics to ~m/Pictures
ln -s /spiceflow/bitpost/softraid/images/viper-shotwell-Pictures Pictures

Once it's done it purges it all from your phone. Kinda scary, kinda AWESOME. Get better at using softraid!
