Off-world Power Generation Lab 4: Moment control

Just thinking about this one at this point. Need to do more research.

  • Tom Stanton does an excellent job of demonstrating an air engine. Can I use that to provide rotation of a shaft to gyroscopically stabilize a satellite? I would think: of course I can.
  • It appears that a CMG is much more efficient than a reaction wheel, but seems much more complex to rotate a shaft than to spin it faster or slower.
