Off-world Power Generation Components Detailed Rules
Rules for new Reference Implementation proposals
- New proposals must be well-documented and repeatable.
- Any efficiency improvement of at least 2% with no more than a 10% cost increase will qualify to be the new reference standard.
- Any cost reduction of at least 0.5% with no loss in efficiency will qualify to be the new reference standard.
- The board will determine rewards for each newly-accepted reference implementation. [Off-world Power Generation Components Detailed Rules|Details.]
- Other new proposals may also be reviewed by the board. For example:
- Higher-cost efficiency improvements - the board will consider the cost impact on the success of the project.
- Lower-cost improvements that result in a "statistically insignificant" efficiency loss.
- The board may override decisions based on cross-component concerns (eg, amount of storage capability required).
All requirements and rules are subject to change by the board at any time as needed. The board will make all final decisions.
