Questions:

You have to SIGN UP to be in the tourneys??!! What about BYOC?? We have to use Intel's PCs??!!

Yep, tourneys may not be worth doing, they will be full of uberl33t punks anyway.

Is there a deadline to sign up? What if you sign up and then change your mind later (something better is going on at that time, etc.)?

Yes, details on PC tourney page, basically you sign up day-before or morning-of. Tell them if you can't show, if you can. Sounds pretty casual.

WoW might be fun to play around in ourselves, but I don't know about jumping into a tourney with the elite's that live it 24/7...

Yeah, we should prolly just dink around in it ourselves at our BYOC slots.

What's the point of BYOC? (other than the sanctuary and other coolness)...

To quote from the guide, "They BYOC room is like a haven from the insanity of the rest of PAX, and this year they are planning plenty of BYOC-only activities." Also, "Follow the directions on the emails you will get about byoc after you register. it lists everything you need and any special instructions that will need to be followed. Keep on this because email updates will be sent out this year." The forumer's complete guide is worth a couple re-reads!
