A new release of Hang The DJ (v 0.8.2) is available on Sourceforge.

I haven’t played with this in a while, so I downloaded and installed the Windows client. A couple of quick comments: no desktop or start menu shortcuts were created by the installer. First time running it popped up an error message about the missing hangthedj.db.
It wont let me past that error

yeah it’s just a quick installer fire nite buoy from a zip. the nullsoft one. need to extend it to do shortcuts etc.

John it’s working for me… maybe it’s some kind of permissions problem, do you get the error if you run HangTheDJ.exe as administrator? I didn’t have to, just curious if that would fix the error… Or maybe a sqlite DLL I need to bundle in the installation… hrmph…
I sent out server accounts to a couple people who wanted to try this out… any other takers, let me know.

cool, ok here’s the call that’s failing:
should be using: c:/Program Files (x86)/Hang The DJ/hangthedj.db
is that file there? if you remove it and retry does it work?
emailed you a version that has more debugging info in the log
Bumped the Windows Setup version to 0.8.3. It should include the dll that John pointed out was missing.
