This movie is based upon a singular climatic change analysis done in the 1990’s that manipulated the hard science of cyclical climate change to support an unverified assumption. The report was not subjected to verification or analysis by a cross section of experts like other scientific disciplines. It was shuttled amongst the small insular world of climatic scientist who want to believe in their assumption to the degree that they employed unethical methodology. The middle ages warming cycle was removed from the data so that what you see is a “hockey stick” effect of global temp. change. Everything is fine and then the 20th century hits and it spikes out of control. If you take the time to look at the non manipulated data you would see that we are experiencing normal global climate change and not the end of the earth. Al Gore has simply realized that he can get back in the spotlight and make good money off of the sky is falling mentality of the gullible many. Try and educate yourself and not believe everything you read. If we make policy changes based upon manipulated data we are serving only the few and not the many. Do we need to care about the earth? Yes. Do we need to control pollution? Yes. Do we need to get hysterical, point fingers and potentially change the fundamentals of of our life as we know it? I don’t think so

It doesn’t sound like you’ve seen the movie, since all you’re commenting on is the one dramatic red-on-black graph. I suggest you check it out! Or check out some of these many many many many many many links, if you need more information! Worst case, you can look for the march on washington, and ask those half-million folks what they think… I’m sure they’d have some information for you…
Good luck with keeping the old Orwellian conservative smear machine chugging along, but I’m afraid it’s starting to look a little long in the tooth… to the majority, this time around… after googling a bit, I see you guys are really really worried, and working extra hard to distort reality again… dang it would really bum me out if I weren’t wise to it by now…
All kidding aside, dude, no matter how much they pay you… if you have kids and a brain cell, get your head out of your ass.

Just a question for Roger. I have talked with the admin of this blog about this before and on this subject I do not presently disagree with him. But coming from a science background I am not opposed to getting more information knowing that ideas and laws can change with more information. Roger can you please add your links to this site so I can see both sides of this debate.

Looks like the “ME!” crowd has gotten organized with a BBC Channel 4 movie, The Great Global Warming Swindle. Wikipedia points out that the director obviously has an anti-environmental axe to grind. Not to mention the love he gets from big oil and their wholly-p0wned subsidiary, the Bush administration. Sigh.
