Here’s the Russian teacake recipe in detail…
This is famously simple. The only hard part – don’t think about the nutritional value!
Step 1. Mix…
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup soft margarine
- 1 tsp vanilla
Step 2. Separately, mix…
- 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
- 1/4 tsp salt
Step 3. Sift flour mixture into margarine mixture.
Step 4. Add 3/4 cup chopped nuts (usually pecans or walnuts)
Step 5. Chill dough for 1/2 hour or so.
Step 6. Roll into 1″ schweaty balls and drop on greased cookie sheet.
Step 7. Cook at 400 degrees F for 10-12 minutes.
Step 8. Let cool slightly. Roll in powdered sugar. Let cool some more, repeat.
Step 9. Eat em!
