Another day of “progress” in NC

Respect for kindness in the lab
I always assumed there was no kindness tolerated towards our fellow sentient friends on whom we experiment in the field of biology, and no leniency towards the students objecting to hurting and killing them. This Q&A on stack exchange (currently the greatest source of human knowledge, paired with wikipedia) gave me so much hope. I’m sure it’s still gruesome and unavoidable for many students in many lab situations but this is well-reasoned coverage of compassionate options for the conscientious objector.
Met a friend on my lunch walk today…
Happy :-)

Spent the weekend in New York with Reiley kama Betty and Wren went with me. We got in Friday night and waited a long time by the luggage rack. With Reiley. Eventually I noticed a guy walking with our luggage and grabbed it from him, it turns out we should have picked it up at the airplane. Oh well. We got an uber and took it to Reiley place. It’s very cute. It is two bedrooms and a bath and kitchen with enough room for Pho and Reiley stuff. We met Bo and her boyfriend Kaiyu, amazing people
Sunday we got up a little late and went out walking around town we headed towards the Staten Island Ferry but I took us the wrong way for 5 or 10 minutes before I realized it. We turned around and walked down Chinatown back to the Financial District where we walked right onto Wall Street. We kept going and found the Staten Island ferry. We went into a huge room where a man with a violin was playing beautiful tunes on top of pre recorded music he was about Grammy Dejan she thought he was quite handsome we tried to get her to put her name and number into his head but no go. The ferry runs every half an hour and we didn’t have to wait long before we were zooming across the Hudson River past the Statue of Liberty Wren and Grandma Stewart at the rail and watch the statue go by. Grammy had tears in her eyes. We got to Staten Island got off the ferry and ran around to the return ferry for a quick trip back. It was nice to hang out on the ferry and just enjoy the ride. Which was free. Awesome. Then we got and uber tried to get an over but the other was not able to find us so we walked more and had some bad service at Starbucks and we found a wonderful little Indian restaurant that hey Shan masala lentils and all the rest on a veggie platter that we all three shared. The nice lady open the door for us because it was kind of hot. We walked back more and eventually got back to the room to take a nap. Grandma and I went out to get foot massages, at a place called Foot heaven, and it was. A warm bucket of water and then 30 minutes of the most perfect gentle strong massage from the knee cap down. Granny sat next to me in a lazy boy and they made us feel great.
