It was great fun having Grammy Boop stay for the summer. We all had a blast improving our swimming (no more floaties!), playing Lost Cities, and watching the new kitties make themselves at home. Can’t wait for next summer so we can do it again!
Chance to adopt a kitty is going, going….
Looks like we may be becoming a “cat” family, in addition to being a dog pound. We bought 2 large air purifiers this week. It’s just so crazy it might work! Stay tuned… and if you want to adopt you better hurry up! (pleaaaase?? :> )
Second Season of Soccer Starts
Reiley started her second season of soccer today, and Wrenny will be playing this year as well! Rei scored a goal at her first practice scrimmage game. Mia Hamm watch yer butt! Whooooop!
There was an ultimate tourney happening at the same time, every other player brought their hound dog, looked like a blast…

Reiley hits the big SEVEN
Reiley decided to have her first sleepover for her seventh birthday. Mom, being rather naive in that department, suggested no more than FIVE guests. Well, we survived it – in style! There was clay modeling, treasure hunts, and a 2am bedtime followed by pancakes at 6:30am… it was a blast. When the last friend left, Reiley says “WOW, THAT sure went fast!” as Mum and I rolled our eyes at each other… we’d do it all over again in a heartbeat, tho! :>

9.0 High Fidelity
Jammed with wit, Ferris-Bueller-protagonist-as-narrator-style, and a running alternative-music subtext perfect for those of us reared on the late-70’s punk rock thingee. GREAT supporting characters, too, including John’s ever-present sister, Jack Black (whooop!), and extended cameos by Tim Robbins and Lisa Bonet. All that is mere icing on the cake of the main storyline, John Cusack’s study of the long line of girlfriends that have dumped him (at least in his mind). ’nuff spoilin!
