8.5 IMAX Attack of the Clones

Had a good time watching this one – beautiful panoramic scenes filling your vision while you can feel the bass of huge spaceships with those great Star Wars sound effects move your clothing. And of course who could get bored watching a 50 foot tall Natalie Portman? Ready for the next big thing now… guess that would be the next LOTR movie…

Republicans take over…

OK, y’all, git yer guns, we’re going to war with anybody that screws with our oil supply! No high school diploma required (y’all just leave that edumacation stuff to the rich, now)…

Then hold on to them guns, you can use ’em to take one last potshot at the United Corporations of America just before they steamroll ya…

Why are the American people so easily duped? < *sigh*>

Mamma Mia!

With Grammie visiting for the weekend, Andrea and I headed over to Charlotte on Saturday to see Mamma Mia, a musical jammed with two dozen Abba tunes. Rockin campy wild hilarious cheesy rowdy fun! We’re still not quite sure how they pulled it off, but they overlapped a great comedy with nonstop disco jams (yeah baby) and actually made it all come together. We were all jumping out of our seats by the end. To cap it off, we went to “the best vegetarian restaurant in Charlotte”, as voted by readers of Creative Loafing (flashback!), called Kelly’s Kitchen. Yum…

Dreamin’…

Got up this morning with Reiley and we went downstairs to have breakfast. While we were eating our Cheerios, I just happened to ask her if she had any dreams, expecting her to say no. She looked up at me with a crooked smile and emphatically said “Yes!” And it was a hilarious one. She was in the snow, and there were snow worms chasing her. She said they weren’t too big, and reminded her of icicles. She was outside and it was snowing, and saw something white with spots that was shaped like a jaguar. She saw giraffes as well. She ate some snow, “but it was WARM!” Then it seemed like she was inside, on a couch, and the snow worms were still following her, jumping onto a couch pillow she held. She said she wasn’t that scared of them, they couldn’t bite her, they just kept FOLLOWING her!

She asked me if I had had a dream. The only bit I could remember was Wren and Reiley playing on a dirty beach, and trying to get a bunch of people organized to get to the same place in three different cars, but no one was communicating so I knew we’d all get lost.

We concluded that brains sure get all kooky while you are sleeping. :P
