Mom and Sundance tear it up at their first show! Reiley and Wren ripped it up too, on Tuff and PonyBoy. It was Tuff’s first show, so Reiley had to take him through the events slowly to teach him the ropes. The other girl that rode Tuff almost got bucked off. Good job Rei! On the other hand, Mom and Wren were all about speed. Check it out… the video needs editing but I’ll throw the whole thing up for now…
This guy is living my future, now. According to this article, in the summer, he collects about nine times the solar power that he needs for his house using solar panels on his roof. The extra goes into batteries for nighttime, and… here’s the best part… conversion of water to hydrogen fuel using an electrolyzer. He stores it up in 10 propane tanks and uses it for all his additional energy needs.

I’m spending a little time on a side project involving blogs and their RSS feeds. I’ve posted before (in 2005!) about unplugging from the endless evil RSS feeds of the hyperactive interwebs, and I stepped too close again and got sucked back in…

Biked to work this week, and then I drove my bike to work so I could ride it to the bike-to-work meetup, downtown. Ironic.

Since Reiley’s birthday was on Mother’s day this year, a deal was brokered to move Mother’s Day to Saturday and let Rei have Sunday all to herself. The following ensued: flowers and cards, plants, woodburned spoons, spring-cleaned garage (everything must go!), Mellow Mushroom, tetherball championships, Carcasonne marathons, we got Mom and Grammy to play AoE3 with us (Mom fell asleep), PF Chang’s, pocketknife, Clue!
